HERE WE GO !!!!!

So,....this is it !!! The DATE IS SET !!!

I am going to be going into Surgery on May 25th!!

I am excited and also very nervous. I know this is the right thing to do ,...I just dont like the idea of surgery. Many that know me ,...KNOW that I have battled my weight for about the past 10 years. I just feel like this is my last chance to take it off and keep it off.

There have been MANY success stories I have heard from this. At a minimum I should lose at least 50 to 75 pounds my first 4 months. THAT makes me happy!!!

Time for change!!

What the Hell is a Schmelnick ??

True Story:
When I first met my wife,...I had no idea the cast of characters I would have to deal with in her family. She has a LARGE Family. 4 brothers and 3 sisters that made 8 kids in her family plus their spouses and parents.
Anyway,..Her sister Jan is married to John. Everyone calls him by his last name "Gerard" . Gerard set up a weekend camping trip for everyone in the family at "Groveland Oaks" camp ground in Holly. However,...he told my wife that he didnt know how to spell my last name for the reservation. So he said that he just said it was "Schmelnick". Now as a new member to the family and not knowing John very well,...I believed him. So when Colleen and I rolled up to the campground ranger station to check in they asked what name it was under. I said "Schmelnick". The ranger asked me to spell it,...."S-C-H-M-E-L-N-I-C-K",....He said ,..."No sorry,....we have no one under that name here." I started wondering if I was at the right place. I asked him "How about SZATKOWSKI ?"
He said " Yep,...right here,...your in camp spot number blah,...blah,...blah" the people in the booth got a laugh. When I got to the campsite I told John what had happened and he laughed and said he was only kidding about not knowing how to spell my name.
Thats how I became "Schmelnick".
